John LeMay, Ph.D., L.M.F.T.
EEG Consultant
Diplomate in Quantitative EEG analysis
Dr. LeMay is a consultant for the Center. In addition to being a licensed therapist, he provides EEG, qEEG brain mapping and ERP analysis for the center. He offers optional neurostimulation technologies for complex clients based on their brain map profile. He assists the Center in providing a comprehensive and innovative approach for helping clients improve brain function.
His expertise enables him to not only identify brain pattern irregularities in our EEG and qEEG brain maps but to also help correlate what physiological factors may be contributing to these irregular patterns.
Dr. LeMay, provides EEG and qEEG brain map analysis and reporting to several centers around the U.S.
One of his areas of specialization is in Event Related Potential (ERP) maps. These maps are employed to identify problems or weaknesses across multiple brain networks (for example, networks that manage the ability to stay on task and process details, emotional response, executive function and auditory processing.)
He published a research paper on the impact of light stimulation on the ERP for visual processing. His insights in analyzing EEGs and qEEGs and combining these with neurofeedback, neurostimulation, and metabolic strategies have helped improve our client outcomes as well as helped our clients understand more clearly their problems and how to address change.
In his free time, Dr. LeMay pursues his lifelong passion for surfing. He enjoys riding the waves in Jupiter, where he lives with his wife and family, as well as in Pismo Beach, California, where he has a second home.
