Discover how ERP (Event related potentials) mapping can provide crucial insights that traditional QEEG misses, leading to more accurate functional assessments and more objective tracking of treatment progress.
What You’ll Learn in This Webinar:
1. Understanding ERP Brain Mapping and its Role in Neurofeedback
- Practical clear explanations of what it means and how it’s used clinically
- What you get from the ERP that you don’t get from the qEEG
- Multiple live case examples – of how it helps identify underlying processing issues and how that impacts many symptoms
- Why clients/patients like it – it’s easier to explain and make sense of it
2) More Objective Measures for Tracking Progress
ERP testing provides consistent and accurate measurements of brain processing to track change and progress. QEEG is helpful but not as clear or consistent. Having objective repeatable measures is a better basis for ongoing assessment and protocol adjustments.
3) What is an ERP Test (Event Related Potential)?
It measures brain activity precisely under task. Continuous performance tests such as IVA, TOVA and Conners help objectively measure a person’s ability to sustain attention and control impulses.
This ERP (event test) goes far beyond that. Recording the EEG during a special developed continuous performance task (ERP) provides detailed accurate information of how the brain processes across multiple systems. These measures have been called brain neuromarkers for psychiatric issues by Dr. Yuri Kropotov, who helped develop it, (See his textbook on Amazon).
4) What does it tell you about the brain?
QEEG brain mapping records the EEG with both Eyes Open and Eyes.
ERP records the EEG under a 20 minute continuous performance task. This provides critical insights into the speed of brain processes for:
- Visual information
- Sound (Auditory processing)
- Staying on task
- Processing details
- Emotional filtering
- Control of thoughts and behaviors, Inhibition
- Decision making and comparing alternatives
5) An ADHD score against a large validated ADHD database.
Clients love this feature. This report generates an ADHD score using the largest clinical ADHD database we are aware of. The score correlates how similar an individual is to those age matched who have ADHD.
Is it an attention problem? Is it a problem with how the brain processes details, visual or auditory or sensory information. It’s a very valuable insight.
