Vagus Nerve Stimulation
Enhance the gut-brain connection and activate the parasympathetic system.
The vagus nerve connects your brain to the other organs in your body. When activated, the this large nerve can elicit a sense of calm and relaxation because it is the primary connection to the “rest and digest” branch of your nervous system. Unlike the more active branch, (called the “sympathetic” branch, which helps you gear up for the busy life), this para-sympathetic system is not under your direct control. Relaxing is not something you can force. And yet… vagus nerve stimulation indirectly tells your body to slow down. The more you “work” this nerve using a device, or deep breathing, etc., the more “toned it becomes and the easier it is for your body to downshift.
Having tested six different devices, we’ve found a unit our clients love that consistently delivers postive results. Using low-level microcurrent stimulation, this device enhances the gut-brain connection and activates that parasympathetic system. Ask our staff if this tool fits into your services plan!
