Long COVID Relief Program

Reclaim Your Pre-COVID Life—Without Medication

It’s now clear that countless people are grappling with the lingering effects of what’s being called “long COVID.” But what is it, and how can you find relief from its life-altering symptoms?

Long COVID symptoms can persist for months or longer and can manifest in many ways including:

  • Difficulty thinking clearly or concentrating (brain fog)
  • Trouble remembering things or recalling words
  • Problem focusing on tasks
  • Slowed cognitive processing
  • Increased depression or mood issues
  • More anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • More easily overwhelmed
  • *Insomnia (trouble going to sleep or staying asleep)
  • Social withdrawal
  • Increased irritability
  • Headaches

It’s not known why long COVID takes hold or what it does to the body to make you feel so terrible. Some of it may have to do with impaired oxygen delivery to the body or brain, increased inflammation, or an exacerbation of pre-existing metabolic weaknesses.

A number of our clients who were infected with COVID-19—or even some who didn’t have COVID but did have a vaccine—have been plagued later by symptoms now defining long COVID.

Many come in seeking help, not suspecting their issues could be caused by long COVID.  After completing a thorough history with us, the connection becomes more clear.

Hearing stories from our clients as well as other health professionals around the country has made us highly aware of the profound impact long COVID can have on daily life. It has also motivated us to roll up our sleeves and put considerable time and effort into developing a unique long COVID program to address this unsettling condition without medication.

“A 2022 survey from the National Center for Health Statistics now estimates almost 7% of adults and more than 1% of children have struggled with long COVID…that equates to millions and millions of people.”
– Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent

You’ll find our program, the result of 25+ years of experience helping with problems typical of long COVID, to be quite different from what’s offered in the conventional medical realm. It involves employing a number of leading-edge brain analysis and training technologies, and looking at contributing factors your doctor may not have considered. Most of our clients report some benefit within just a few sessions.

How the program works

Step 1

We begin by doing some “detective work.” That work involves a comprehensive review of your history, looking for underlying causes of your long COVID that might not be immediately apparent.

We consider whether what you’re experiencing might possibly stem from or be exacerbated by a medical issue in addition to COVID, including other infections, post-anesthesia side effects or a head injury (even one not diagnosed as a concussion).

Quality restorative sleep is fundamental to recovery. We dig deeply into sleep quality and lifestyle factors such as chronic stress, diet imbalances, and environmental exposures like toxins. Gut-brain issues (microbiome) or mitochondrial dysfunction can also be a factor.

Finally, we “connect the dots” and leverage what we discover to create the optimal approach for you.

Step 2

We conduct brain maps (a qEEG and ERP) to pinpoint timing discrepancies that may be contributing to the problem, both in specific regions and across the brain’s networks. These maps offer vital insights into potential metabolic, inflammatory, or circulation concerns in your brain.

Step 3

We formulate a plan customized to your particular circumstances, which may include some or all of the following:

  • Neurofeedback, to train healthier or more adaptive brain patterns
  • Neurostimulation, to improve blood flow, upregulate metabolic activity, and decrease inflammation
  • Intermittent oxygen training in our Gym for the Brain division to improve oxygenation of the brain and body through increased blood flow and reduced brain inflammation.
  • Recommendations on lifestyle changes (exercise, sleep hints)
  • Pinpointing unidentified environmental contributors and suggesting ways to minimize them
  • Recommendations for practical nutrition and diet changes to reduce brain inflammation or support brain function and the gut-brain connection.
  • In certain cases, recommending specialized lab testing we think may be helpful, offered by specialized physicians or naturopaths who are knowledgeable about long COVID.

Client Story

When Alec came down with COVID while away on vacation, he became deathly ill. Body pains, excruciating headaches, extreme lethargy, brain fog, and a brutal cough all knocked him flat on his back. A week later, however, he was on the mend and went on about his life. Fast forward 10 weeks. Out of the blue he got hit with an array of symptoms—no energy, brain fog, difficulty getting out of bed, dizziness, and more. It was eventually diagnosed by a doctor as long COVID.

Want to speed up the process? Enroll in our on-site Intensive Brain Rehab Program.

This program is designed to provide more rapid results by training 3-5 times a week, each session lasting no longer than an hour. Many of our clients see notable changes in just 4-6 weeks. The program is fueled by the power of synergy. The combined impact of multiple modality training sessions, administered close together, can be greater than spreading it out over a longer period of time. Just like working out in a gym, increased training frequency can accelerate results

*Why poor sleep is a major factor in long COVID
Poor sleep can exacerbate long COVID symptoms. During sleep, our brain engages in vital functions like memory consolidation, toxin removal, and cell repair. A lack of restorative sleep can interrupt these essential processes, resulting in cognitive challenges like reduced concentration, memory lapses, and unexplained fatigue. Moreover, a sleep deficit can unbalance vital neurotransmitters in the brain, like dopamine and serotonin, intensifying many long COVID symptoms. Discover more about our sleep program here.
