Millions of people are now reporting they’re suffering from brain fog.  But what is it, and what can be done?  

Brain fog is often described as a lack of mental clarity and focus. It can manifest in a variety of ways including:

  • Spaciness 
  • Forgetfulness 
  • Difficulty concentrating 
  • Fatigue
  • Physical symptoms like dizziness or headaches
  • Depersonalization or derealization

We don’t know why, but the problem seems to have grown dramatically over the last few years. Hearing it from more and more clients motivated us to put considerable time and effort into developing a program to address brain fog without medication.

This program is the result of 25+ years of experience and employs a number of leading edge brain analysis and training technologies, as well as looking at contributing factors your doctor may not have considered.

How the program works

Step 1

We begin by doing some “detective work.” That work involves a comprehensive review of your history, looking for underlying causes of your brain fog that might not be immediately apparent. We “connect the dots” and then leverage what we discover to create the optimal treatment path for you.

We consider whether what you’re experiencing might possibly stem from a medical issue, such as long COVID, other infections, post-anesthesia side effects, a head injury (even one not diagnosed as a concussion) or having chemotherapy (chemo brain).

We inquire about the quality of your sleep* and lifestyle factors such as chronic stress, diet imbalances, and environmental exposures like toxins. Gut-brain issues (microbiome) or mitochondrial dysfunction can also be a factor.  

Step 2

We conduct a specialized brain map analysis to pinpoint timing discrepancies that may be contributing to the problem, both in specific regions of the brain and across the brain’s networks. These offer vital insights into potential metabolic, inflammatory, or circulation concerns in your brain.

Step 3

We formulate a treatment plan customized to your particular circumstances, which may include some or all of the following: 

  • Neurofeedback, to train healthier or more adaptive brain patterns
  • Neurostimulation, to improve blood flow and decrease inflammation
  • Tools that increase oxygen to the brain
  • Recommendations on lifestyle changes (exercise, stress management, sleep hygiene)
  • Identifying environmental contributors
  • Recommendations for practical nutrition and diet changes to reduce brain inflammation or help support brain function and the gut-brain connection.

This program is designed to provide more rapid results by training 3-5 times a week, each session lasting no longer than an hour. Many of our clients see notable changes in just 4-6 weeks. The program is fueled by the power of synergy. The combined impact of multiple modality training sessions, administered close together, can be greater than spreading it out over a longer period of time. Just like working out in a gym, increased training frequency can accelerate results.

*Why poor sleep is a major factor in brain fog
Poor sleep can contribute to brain fog because during sleep, the brain performs important tasks like consolidating memories, clearing out toxins, and repairing damaged cells. When we don’t get enough restorative sleep, these crucial processes can be disrupted, leading to cognitive symptoms like difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, and mental fatigue. Additionally, sleep deprivation can disrupt the balance of important neurotransmitters in the brain, such as dopamine and serotonin, which can further contribute to brain fog.
