Catherine Moritz, Ph.D., LMHC, C.A.P., BCETS has worked with a broad range of children and adults for many years in the Palm Beach County and Jupiter area. As a Ph. D psychotherapist, Catherine has developed an excellent reputation. Often she is referred complex or difficult patients from MD’s, psychologists, and other psychotherapists.
In her private practice, Catherine deals with a wide spectrum of mental health and life issues. She specializes in Post Traumatic Stress and comorbid disorders. Catherine is a certified neurofeedback practitioner, which she learned in an effort to facilitate her patient’s recovery while reducing their reliance on psychotropic medications.
Catherine has a Ph. D in Clinical Sexology from Maimonides University where she studied under the internationally known expert, Dr. William Granzig. She received her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) and is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor by the state of Florida. Her background and training qualifies her in both Christian and Secular Counseling. She is Board Certified in Traumatic Stress, Certified as an Addiction Professional (CAP) by the state of Florida, trained in Hypnotherapies in accordance with the state of Florida guidelines, and has qualified as an expert witness.
Additional trainings include RRT and EMDR. Catherine taught graduate psychology courses at PBA as an adjunct professor and undergraduate courses at Palm Beach Community College. Catherine studied Tollefsonian Incorporation Techniques under Dr. William Tollefson, one of the country’s leading trauma experts. She trained with Dr. Tollefson both at his seminars and directly under his guidance at the WIIT inpatient facility at the Hollywood Pavilion in Hollywood Florida where his protocols and healing techniques for traumatized women are used exclusively. |
